News 2024.03 - Vienna c2 trailer

The 1002 is here!

The sidecars designated as series c2 had a door arrangement of 1-2-3 from front to rear, with the rearmost doors exclusively for boarding and the two front doors for alighting. The conductor had his fixed seat next to the three-door entrance.

The new edition of the popular classic Viennese sidecar c2 from HALLING Modelle makes it possible to recreate these highly Viennese sidecars in the model in detail - including the conductor's seat! The elaborately and finely printed sidecar with the car number 1002 can be combined with the already available type M railcar models in the correct period. And thanks to the historically correct numbers and destination signs for motor coaches and sidecars, you can revive several typical semi-truck sets in a completely exemplary manner.

Miniatures promotion! - Take 3 and pay 2!* The miniatures from FERRO-TRAIN are finer, more colourful and more playful than the often rather clumsy street furniture of the competition. For several decades, they were assembled by our employees in small numbers, but always in several versions, with great joy and angelic patience, but that has now come to an end.

News 2025.02 - Works loco ÖBB 052/S of the HW St. Pölten

    2025-02-27

ÖBB 052/S - The apiary! After ÖBB had closed the auxiliary workshop in Obergrafendorf and the maintenance of the narrow-gauge wagons was transferred to the main workshop in St. Pölten, there was a lack of a suitable shunting locomotive there in the spring of 1960. With the tried and tested confidence that makeshift is the longest lasting solution, a shunting tractor was quickly cobbled together from existing old materials. The engine came from a compressor, the gearbox from a standard-gauge tow train. The frame and the superstructure were built by themselves, based on the narrow-gauge wagons. After the ÖBB 052/S was taken out of service, the locomotive body was sold and served as an apiary in the Pielach Valley for many years!
